God’s covenant with Moses – promising land, blessings, relationship with God and people (descendants), plus holiness (blessing/ curses) – conditional on obedience

Exodus 19: 3-9

3: Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, "This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:4: 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings, and brought you to myself.5: Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;6: and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."7: Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yahweh commanded him.8: All the people answered together, and said, "All that Yahweh has spoken we will do." Moses reported the words of the people to Yahweh.9: Yahweh said to Moses, "Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever." Moses told the words of the people to Yahweh.

کتاب خروج١٩: ٣-٩

و موسیِ نزد خدا بالا رفت، و خداوند از میان کوه او را ندا در داد و گفت: به خاندان یعقوب چنین بگو، و بنی اسرایِیل را خبر بده: شما آنچه را که من به مصریان کردم، دیده اید،و چگونه شما را بر بالهای عقاب برداشته، نزد خود آورده ام. و اکنون اگر آواز مرا فی الحقیقه بشنوید، و عهد مرا نگاه دارید، همانا خزانهً خاص من از جمیع قومها خواهید بود. زیرا که تمامی جهان، از آن من است. و شما برای من مملکت کهنه و امت مقدس خواهید بود. این است آن سخنانی که به بنی اسرائیل می باید گفت. پس موسی آمده، مشایخ قوم را خواند، و همهً این سخنان را که خداوند او را فرموده بوده، بر ایشان القا کرد. و تمامی قوم به یک زبان در جواب گفتند: آنچه خداوند امر فرموده است، خواهیم کرد. و موسی سخنان قوم را باز به خداوند عرض کرد.

و خداوند به موسی گفت: اینک من در ابر مظلم نزد تو می آیم، تا هنگامی که به تو سخن گویم قوم بشنوند، و بر تو نیز همیشه ایمان داشته باشند. پس موسی سخنان قوم را به خداوند باز گفت.

Exodus 19: 18-20

18: Mount Sinai, the whole of it, smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.19: When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.20: Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

کتاب خروج ١٩: ١٨­٢٠

و تمامی کوه سینا را دود فرو گرفت، زیرا خداوند در آتش برآن نزول کرد، و دودش مثل دود کوره ای بالا می شد، و تمامی کوه سخت متزلزل گردید.

و چون آواز کرنا زیاده و زیاده سخت نواخته می شد،موسی سخن گفت، و خدا او را به زبان جواب داد. و خداوند بر کوه سینا بر قله کوه نازل شد، و خداوند موسی را به قلهً کوه خواند،و موسی بالا رفت.

Exodus 24: 3

3: Moses came and told the people all the words of Yahweh, and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice, and said, "All the words which Yahweh has spoken will we do."

کتاب خروج٢٤: ٣

پس موسی آمده، همهً سخنان خداوند و همهً این احکام را به قوم باز گفت و تمامی قوم به یک زبان در جواب گفتند: همهً سخنانی که خداوند گفته است، بجا خواهیم آورد.
