Jesus Will Come Again

The Bible presents God's work of redemption as an ongoing process. Throughout the Old Testament, He leads His chosen people toward truth and righteousness. The final phase of the process of redemption began with the first coming of Jesus and will culminate in the events surrounding His Second Coming. There will be a final judgment of all people, living and dead. The faithful will receive new spiritual bodies for eternal life; the wicked will be cast into hell. There will be a final defeat and destruction of all evil -- Satan, sin, suffering and death. The kingdom of God will come to its fulfillment at last.

Jesus left no doubt that He will return again to complete His mission of salvation for mankind:

"Don't be troubled. You trust God, now trust in me. There are many rooms in my Father's home, and I am going to prepare a place for you. If this were not so, I would tell you plainly. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am." (NLT, John 14:1-4)

Acts 1:11

ایام استراحت از حضور خداوند برایتان فرارسد،۲۰و تا خدا، عیسی، یعنی همان مسیح را که از پیش برای شما مقرر شده بود، بفرستد،۲۱که باید آسمان پذیرای او می‌شد تا ایامی که همه‌چیز بنا‌بر آنچه خدا از دیرباز به زبان همۀ پیامبرانِ مقدّس خود گفته است، احیا گردد.۲۲موسی فرموده است: ”خداوندْ خدای شما، از میان برادرانتان پیامبری همانند من مبعوث خواهد کرد و بر شماست تا هرآنچه به شما گوید، به‌گوش جان بشنوید.۲۳هر‌که به آن پیامبر گوش نسپارد، از قوم اسرائیل بریده خواهد شد.

۸آنگاه آن بی‌دین ظاهر خواهد شد، که خداوندْ عیسی با نَفَس دهان خود او را هلاک خواهد کرد و با درخشندگی ظهور خویش او را نابود خواهد ساخت.

دوم تسالونیکیان 2: 8

James 5:7-9

⁷Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. ⁸You also must be patient. Strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. ⁹Beloved, do not grumble against one another, so that you may not be judged. See, the Judge is standing at the doors!

۷پس ای برادران، تا آمدن خداوند صبر پیشه کنید. بنگرید چگونه دهقان انتظار می‌کشد تا زمین محصول پرارزش خود را به‌بار آورد؛ چگونه صبر می‌کند تا بارانهای پاییزی و بهاری بر زمین ببارد.۸پس شما نیز صبور باشید و دلْ قوی‌دارید، زیرا آمدنِ خداوند ما نزدیک است!۹برادران، از یکدیگر شکایت نکنید، تا بر شما نیز داوری نشود، زیرا «داور» بر در ایستاده است.
